What is the History Academy?
Not only a museum visit. Not only adult education. NEW. MORE. DIFFERENT.
The History Academy of the Hospital in the Rock is an extended museum experience program created in the spirit of sustainable development. Our accredited trainings systematize the professional work of more than 10 years with the help of learning materials, videos and webinars stored in an e-learning database, which we color with museum guided tours, tests and lectures.

You can take part in three different levels of training, each of them includes a guided tour in the museum.

What is an AP code?
You can register for the courses of the History Academy trainings using the so-called AP code. The AP consists 16 digits and starts with AP. You can find it on your voucher purchased at the vending machine in the museum.

Do you have a program for children?
Yes, we have! If you purchase a training for a child (under 18 years of age) or for a family, you will be able to register for our Children Program. The Children Programs have material for children under 14 years of age and above 14 years of age.
(Children under 18 years of age cannot enter into an adult education program with us, they can use the Children Program only.)
How to register for the trainings?
Just visit therock.academy and register with your AP code! Please not – this is an adult education program where you will get a diploma. To participate in this accredited adult education program, we enter into an electronic adult education contract with you, for which we ask you to complete a form. We process your data in connection with the training in accordance with the following law: Fktv. Section 21 (1) (b). Without the completion of the adult education contract you can not use the e-learning database.
How long can you register for the trainings?
You must register with your AP code within 3 days after your purchase.
What happens if I miss the deadline?
If you miss the 3-day registration deadline, you will lose the opportunity to participate in the adult education program, and we will treat your payment as a donation in accordance with your contribution.
Can you change the type of your training?
Unfortunately, this is not yet possible.
How long can you use the online database?
Each training has a training period. You can use the AP1 database for 30 days, the AP2 for 90 days, and the AP3 for 180 days. Thematics
In which language are the trainings available?
You can use the database in Hungarian and in English.
What kind of training levels has the History Academy?
The History Academy has 3 different training levels. You can choose from the trainings when you purchase your AP code.
What kind of knowledge materials can be viewed in the e-learning database?
The trainings consist of content compiled by the museum’s historians in the form of texts, images, documents, videos, interviews and tests. Sample material
