Spaces for the historical walks are sold on the spot upon arrival.

Maximum headcount: 25 visitors/group (no minimum headcount)

Duration: 60 minutes

There is no advanced registration for groups below 10 people  (except for VIP groups).

Groups of 15 or more must register at least 2 working days prior to the planned visit via e-mail or by clicking on GROUPS .

If you come with a small group (less than 14 visitors) and would like to visit the museum as a private group, please register for a  VIP tour at least 2 working day prior to the planned visit.

  • Adult group

Between  20 – 64 years of age

Headcount: minimum 15 – maximum 30 visitors

Group of 31 or more are welcomed. Such groups are divided into smaller ones on the spot starting the program few minutes apart.

 

  • Student group

Between  6 – 19 years of age

Headcount: minimum 15 – maximum 30 visitors

  • VIP group

For groups below 15 visitors, who would like to visit the museum as a private group.

 

  • Team building activities

We recommend our team building activities  to any age groups who would like get to know their colleagues and co-workers better in a special place while executing  extraorinary tasks and missions.

Available programs for groups:

 

  • ORDINARY– 60-minute-long historical walk:

One hour long historical walk lead by a local guide. During the visit the group explores the WWII hospital, machinery and generator room, as well as the nuclear shelter, gaining insights into Hungary’s 20th century history, including the Second World War, the 1956 Revolution and the nuclear fear of the Cold War.

 

  • INTERACTIVE –  90-minute-long historical walk with tasks:

During the 90-minutes-long program the group discovers the hospital and the bunker dressed in contemporary clothes executing special tasks and missions. Exercises feature activities that were usual in case of emergency situations back in the day, such as carrying people on stretchers, providing first aid care and assembling gas masks to mention but a few. Besides these, the guests’ memory will be tested too.

Headcount: Minimum 7 – maximum 20 people/group (groups of 21 or more will be divided into smaller ones on the spot).

Program fee: + 20 000 HUF / group.

 

  • HISTORY LESSON  –  45-minute-long  history lesson + 60-minute-long walking tour (for school groups):

On demand we provide a 45-minute-long history lesson presented by our local experts in history for audiences older than 12. History lessons cover diverse episodes of Hungary’s 20th century history. Lectures are optional, available prior to or after a guided tour.

Fee: + 5000 Ft / group (max. 45 people).

History lessons are available with group visits only.

Important information

Due to safety measures the museum can be visited only in guided tours. The maximum headcount of individual groups is 25 visitors / group. Spaces are sold on the spot upon arrival. In case a group is full, you can buy your ticket for the next available one. There is no minimum headcount on the tours.

Due to the thematic structure and vivid presentation of the exhibition, visiting is not allowed under 6 years of age, it is not recommended under 12, children between 6 and 12 years of age need parental/adult agreement and supervision.

English guided tours depart every hour on the hour between 10:00 and 19:00 from Monday to Sunday. During peak season (May – October) extra English tours are scheduled between 12:00 and  17:00, departing every 30 minutes. Last English guided tour departs at 19:00. Duration: 60 minutes.

The museum reserves the right for changes.

For individual visitors there is no advanced registration (group below 10 visitors, except for VIP tours). Groups of 15 or more must register at least 2 days prior to the planned visit by clicking on GROUPS .

It is not allowed to take pictures, videos or to do voice recordings during the tour. It is not possible to buy photo ticket.

Tickets are sold on the spot upon arrival. If you already have your ticket or voucher, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour to present your ticket / exchange your voucher for ticket.
